Fantastic acoustic sound reproduction!

I love the sound reproduction! Balanced, warm, woody. To my ears the acoustic quality of the spruce and rosewood of my guitar is well maintained!

The equalizer and tuner work great and are simple to use.

I like the quick connect wiring. Easy to install. Fit is solid. And once I learned how to remove the old one it was simple to do. It came with a wire tool for removal which was helpful.

It's a big plastic square thing. Does not look too pretty on a beautiful wooden instrument. I wish it had a wooden laminate or metal face plate. But it is black and recessed and not very noticeable from the front of the guitar.

Sound is the most important aspect to me, which in my opinion is fantastic, so it gets a 5 star.

Glad I Made The Switch

I replaced the Cool Tube preamp that came with my guitar because it had VERY short battery life. This unit, the CT4B2, was an easy install. Just remove the old, plug in the new and you're ready to play. I can not hear any difference in the quality of the sound between the two preamps. Battery life is MUCH improved.
