Roller novice

Bought myself a carbon framed road bike and in foul weather I wanted to train indoors. Mixed reviews for through axle carbon frames on turbo trainers so went for a Tacx roller trainer. Never used one before but watched some YouTube videos for advice. Once you get over the fact that you are actually riding your bike but going nowhere it is surprisingly easy. Just don’t look down! No need for a training tyre or clamping bike onto turbo trainer. Just put the bike on the rollers and off you go. Highly recommend that you watch YouTube for tips. Read full review

Much better than a turbo trainer

I’m not a Lycra warrior, but like to keep fit by cycling whenever I can. My old turbo trainer is rubbish so I decided to buy one of these. It was easy to assemble, and I t’s a vast improvement on the tt. It’s much quieter, and I have the added excitement of thinking I’m going to fly off it and crash to my death at any moment. I started in the kitchen, hanging on to the rail across the front of the oven. The problem with that was I couldn’t let go. So now I’ve moved to a doorway, which is much better. Still not clipped in, but I’ve only had a few goes. Read full review

Seems all good so far

Sturdy set of rollers, fairly quiet in use and folds away easily to a storable size, can't rate it for longevity yet hence only four stars

Great for exercise

Saves taking the bike out in the rain, will be better when I master how to use it, it was no problem when I tried one 30 years ago, I seem to have trouble staying upright nowadays.
