Got my Triton shower working

Small rubber ball seal in pressure relief valve came out of its housing and disapoeared down shower tray drain, due to backpressure caused by replacement handset. Shower wont function without this ball.
Replacement consists of rubber ball seal in a small plastic housing, cheapest price I found on ebay was £7.99 - and it arrived within 48 hours.
Whilst it is an essential spare I think it is grossly overpriced for such a simple device.
As a precaution, I purchased a pack of 6 rubber ball seals+ 6 o rings fior £2.99, from ebay.
( As it is so easy to cause the non- resettable valve to operate, maybe Triton could include a spare with each shower !)

Triton shower pressure relief device PRD 82800450

Bought this not expecting much as an engineer had told me my triton shower was beyond repair and would have to be replaced including fitting new pipes.

This would have cost me at least £300 & I decided not to bother as it was too much money to spend at the time. I saw the reviews and decided to take the risk as it was under £8. I replaced the "valve" after turning off the power and left to the shower hose and shower head soaking for 24hrs before fitting them.

Turned the shower on and it worked as new...saved me a small fortune and took minutes to remove and replace the "valve"

Very happy thank you.

Saves spending £100 on a new shower!

A new shower head didn't mix the water properly and blew the original PRD.
This replacement PRD is easy to swap over.
Be sure to isolate the electrics first.
I smeared a layer of silicon sealant over the shower case seam? to keep it water tight.Read full review...

Triton Madrid II pressure relief valve

Works perfectly and is a great replacement for the old, out of date pressure relief valve. Great delivery time and easy instructions on how to replace. Would definitely order from again.

It works...dont buy a new shower

My triton shower was just out of its guarantee when it packed up, caused by too heavy pressure of water which caused this part to blow. I was all set to go and buy another shower which I could not afford and then someone told me about this replacement valve. I was a bit doubtful but sent for it anyway. It was a bit tricky to get at it with my particular shower but I persevered and wow yes, it worked saving me around £250!Read full review...

Pressure Relief Device.

Blew the original due to too much pressure. This is the updated version as mine was the white round ball type. Easy to fit if the screws come out from the front....mine were from the left hand side and the shower was very close to the wall!! 15/20min job or in my case 1hr due to the placement of the shower. Remember to turn off the power supply.Read full review...

Triton PRD valve 82800450

This valve "blew" due to scale from the boiler blocking many of the holes in the shower head. Once the head was cleaned, the new part installed, and most importantly the fitting instructions followed, it was a short time before the shower was once again in full working order.
If you are capable of removing the front cover of the shower then fitting this part should not present any problems.
Would highly recommend.

Seems to work

This diaphragm version prd replaces older versions which used a small rubber ball. The ball one eventually leaked - so far the diaphragm one has not leaked, but it's early days. It's not cheap for a small bit of plastic and a small rubber (?) disk.Read full review...

What a relief ...

A little expensive for what it is i.e. a small bit of plastic with a tiny ball set in it. However, coupled with an instructional clip on Youtube, it was easy to fit and quickly solved the problem.
