Easy to install and set up this product far exceeds previous attempts to get decent wifi coverage throughout our old victorian house. Over 3 floors and with thick internal walls previous systems relying on boosters and plug in options just did not do the job. The Deco M5 has given us what we needed. The units look good and after a while you don't notice them. I like the fact that you can set the indicator light to go off over night but I would have liked to be able to wall mount the unit.Read full review

Very limited range

Deco work well provided that there are no concrete/black wall between devices. The deco's will not wifi connect through concrete breeze block walls which is very disappointing.
I have 3 deco's in my home which work fairly well because the signals are passing through timber/insulation/plasterboard walls and ceiling.
I bought a fourth deco to pass the signal through to my connected garage but it failed to connect. Tried configuring the deco next to the main unit and then moving it to the adjoining garage but still no luck. My only option now it to run an ethernet connection between the main deco and the one in the garage which is a big inconvenience.

Also no wifi signal can be picked up outside my house, something many older wifi router/modems were capable off.

In short the deco wifi capability is not as powerful as I'd expect, especially for a relatively high priced product.Read full review

Want better wi-fi coverage .... then look no further

The TP-Link Deco range is a fantastic solution to improve your WI-FI coverage. I'd tried various add adapters over the years but always had issues with handover as we moved around the house. with Deco we get full MESH handoff ensuring we always latch onto the strongest signal wherever we are. I started off with a 3 pack but but a 4th unit to put in our garden room to provide better coverage outside for when we are listening to music or facetiming.

I work in I.T. and have found a lot of the features available in this product are generally reserved for much more expensive corporate solutions.Read full review
