Ugly, but good

It's a pity that this product is not as un-obtrusive as the non-passthrough models. The black plastic surround looks dated. I bought two of these, one of which had been a return (the instructions had been scribbled on in biro) but I was charged the same price for both. TP Link help-line said that this was the only model with an AC passthrough which was important for me. Nevertheless, apart from looks, the product works very well so far and has made a huge difference in Wi-Fi strength in the rooms I require since I live in a largish old house with thick brick walls. (I have been able to insert these obtrusive extenders into un-obtrusive sockets)Read full review

bad signal

Set up as instructed, wifi does not travel through mains wires but picks up router wifi signal.
If router is signal is weak so is the Ethernet port supply from this item.

Works well for stardard single phase elec

We have a property with 3 phase electricity as was a pub (most houses single phase elec so shoud be fine) Wanted to get router signal to a new outside office. Had to hard wire the modem to the TP Link and put the TP Link directly into the power main in the outside office... wouldn't take signal through from house to elec outside. So if I wanted to use similar in the house would have to use a second TP-Link pack. Once we figure that out... has been working for a week fine - hard wired to PC and wifi.Read full review

Reliable Device

This was a bit of a pain to set up in the first place but has been working fine ever since.

I purchased this to extend a Powerline setup that I already have with this being the third plug. As with the first pair the 'plug and play' setup didn't work so I had to download and use the TP-LINK configuration utility. With a bit more fiddling everything was up and working.

Since it has been installed the device is great and wi-fi can be received anywhere in the garden.

Good wifi Extension

TP Link extends our wifi throughout our linear house which is amazing so all rooms now receive very good upload and download speeds.

Does the job

As the advert (almost) says, this does what it says on the box. IT runs straight out of the box, is easy to hook up to and performs well.

A great and Versatile Product

It seems that every piece of electronic equipment these days needs an Ethernet connection, and this versatile powerline adapter accommodates all mine in one neat package, minimising leads and unsightly wires.
It was easy to set up and works a treat.
