Fine FM reception whereas shortwave reception has much noise

The radio FM band is fine but the shortwave register has poor reception and terrible noise. If you are looking for a good shortwave receiver, consider another product.

Tecsun R-9012 FM/AM/SW portable Radio

Great little radio. Put two AA batteries in and it sounded great right off. Worked on all AM/FM/SW and My grandson was in love with it. He loves listening to AM and FM but really surprised me by how much he likes the Shortwave part. His only complaint is that the SW doesn't work well during the daylight. Best for the Buck

First, this is not a sauce. It's a radio. And for a "little" old radio, it works rather well. Have had other MIC radios and they were of much lesser quality. This one seems to be made in Hong Kong and is therefore better than the ones made in mainland China.

Go with this little radio, you will not be disappointed.

Lightwight but powerful small radio

It´s lightweight, but It has good selectivity and sensitivity. It´s a beautiful analog radio indeed. It´s not going to be your main DX radar, although it´s possible to tune DX signals with it.
