Inexpensive but will last if it’s out of the sun reel.
This wall mounted hose reel was the replacement for one I had purchased about15 years ago. It was a direct replacement with a slightly different design but the hole pattern matched the original so installation was a breeze. Not a great value
It's okay, I have another one & the handle is long & straight. This new one is oblong & difficult to hang onto. Plus I paid over $50 for it. Again it works, but don't like the new handle design & would have given a 5 star at about $30 price point. 50 is a bit much.Read full review

Great hose real
Didnt know what I was missing. I struggled with my hose reel for years it was the old type with no guide and it was a pain to reel it in. It took both hands one to reel and one to guide the hose. Manufactured to last for years
It is well made. Winds up the hose easily. This is my 3rd Suncast product and they are all well made. The only reason it didn't give it a 5 was the bolts they give you to mount it are too short. Since it's side mounted this is a lot of weight on the reel. After 1 day the top bolts had pulled out from the wall. Went to Lowe's and got longer bolts now it is mounted sturdily.Read full review

Suncast hose reel
The hose reel is ideal for locations that call for little obstruction such as walkways. However states that it can hold up to 125 feet of 5/8 in hose yes it winds up on the reel, but it's way too bulky and heavy for a plastic reel. I had put a 50 ft hose on and seems to operate a lot smoother and causes less wear.Read full review

Good design. Instructions for use is the problem.
I like the hose reel. My problem with it is the instructions: "B before winding your hose, remove accessory and drain as much water as possible...To wind you hose, pull it out away from the hose reel in a straight line. Then walk the end back to the hose reel so the hose is in a U shape..."
If I have to do this, I don't need a hose reel!!Read full review

Simplicity is the best!
This is a very simple but effective hose reel. I’m replacing my backyard reel that has lasted over 30 years with this nearly identical product. I don’t see why it shouldn’t last a long time, too. I have had another SunCast wall mounted hose reel for a number of years. It was exactly the same as this new one. However, the mounting frame broke right where it is mounted to the house. I do not think it is of a high-enough quality material to take the stress of using the hose reel. When i received it , it was kinked in the box and putting it on the reel it was kinking. Not a good hose at all.The reason I bought it was the hose that I had kinked all the time and what do I get another hose that kinks up.I do not recommend this one.Read full review
