It was advertised as running and that was correct such as it was, so the value ,quality, and advertisement was ok if half running was what you determine as "running"......

Great job on assembly of new and used parts to make a great saw,im a logger on the coast of oregon and am very familiar with what a good saw is. I literally took it out of the box, put on a 32 inch bar and put it to work with a little tweaking of the carb it pulls just like a 44 should. Good saw

I do love this saw. The price wasn't too bad. It needed a little carburetor work. The old air filters rubber seal was rotted and the little bits of rubber were in risk of being sucked into the carb which could have possibly ruined the whole engine but it didn't. After the shop tuned the saw it now runs like a champ. It's nice having all that power at a decent weight. The saw rips. Stihl ms 440 great saw overall.Read full review
