Good value level with a useless clamp

The laser level itself is very good value and does the job. However, the adjustable clamp they give you for it is absolutely useless. It wouldn't grip onto anything in the room.....door frame, door, ladders...you name it, we tried it and it just slid down with the weight of the unit. Then the wing nut broke when we were trying to tighten it onto a door! Buy it for the unit, chuck the clamp away and buy a good one or use it with a tripod!Read full review

Fantastic for the price

I bought a house which, upon further inspection, needed three wooden floors replacing and I had to rebuild them from the joists upwards.
This laser was invaluable . For what it cost it was fantastic. be careful though to put it on the right setting . Flick the switch one way and it gives you a good beam of light but it's not self levelling .
switch it the other and its self levelling and if you go more than the self level angles the light goes off or flashes (that was a bit annoying at first but after a while you realise that the machine is trying to tell you something !!).
I also bought a cheap camera tripod for about 6 pounds off e-bay which meant I had a solid base to use it off and I was also able to use it outside to level fencing posts and marking tiling on kitchen walls.
Seriously . Buy one . you will never use a spirit level again. !Read full review
