Solid but Low

Solid piece of kit. much sturdier than i thought it was going to be to say how light it is. it is easy to set up and pack away and fits pretty much anywhere when folded up. the only problem i have with it is the height. it is a bit too low so after a hour or a 90 minute set djing with my controller on it, my back was in agony. i am only a short guy too so anyone 6 foot or over will really struggle with the height of this unless they are sat down while using it. the legs do extend but its not enough, another adjustable 20 to 30cm or so on the legs would of been perfect. i will now try and find some kind of hard foam or blocks that i can put on the top to raise the work surface but the down side is that it is then just extra stuff to take and carry to gigs.Read full review

Very sturdy and easy to assemble.

The Stagg MXS-A1 Keyboard stand is easy to assemble, and sturdy. Even though our keyboard is not fixed, it is in no danger of sliding or falling off.

I didn't give it 5 stars for two minor reasons: one is that the bolts which fix the width have plastic handles so that they can be adjusted easily, which is good for adjusting, but bad for catching your leg when playing the keyboard. The other is, as I have mentioned, that I was not able to fix my keyboard to the stand, To be fair, that's my fault since I didn't measure the keyboard properly to start with. DJ stand on a budget.

I purchased this to use as a DJ stand and an very pleased with it. there is plenty of room for my DJ controller, laptop and a monitor if I need one and being both height and width adjustable makes it ideal for what I need. It is quite rigid when it is up but as all of my equipment is electronic any slight movement doesn't matter, I cut a piece of board for the top so I have a nice flat surface to work on and a piece of scrim for the front and sided to hide the wiring and its as good as an expensive named brand. ps you could even use it as a keyboard stand if you wanted.Read full review

Does what it needs to

This cheap & cheerful stand does what it should, & the infinitely adjustable legs are great for rough surfaces & uneven ground, a godsend for outdoor wedding gigs! You can get the stand perfectly stable on any ground, without having to resort to beer mats etc. Just be careful not to lose the rubber bits off the end.Read full review
