Misunderstood Technology

First off a sprint booster adds 0BHP to your Mini, but it does make the most of what you already have.

The R53 Cooper S has a very docile throttle pedal. You blip it and there’s a delay before the engine responds.

Sprint Booster removes this lag and allows you to find the perfect setting for your driving style. It does this by adjusting the signal sent to the throttle body at a given pedal position, so you can get to wide open throttle with less of a pedal press than as standard.

Red 9 for example is pretty brutal on the road, but great on track. You barely breathe on the pedal and the engine responds.

Simple and works just as described.

The throttle response is much better with the sprint booster installed, meaning, the power feels as if its at the first 25% of the pedal travel (varies on what mode you use..) The response of the throttle body is also quicker.

I found that the Sport (Green) level 5 mode adds the perfect amount of response and feel for normal road use. The Race (red) mode on any setting is very aggressive for some road use but still controllable, perfect for really sporty driving in open roads rather than for city driving.

Going between Off and Sport mode or Race mode makes you really realise the difference. It almost feels strange to drive with it switched off as your foot must press the pedal much further down.

To summarise, I believe that Sprint Booster makes a great addition to any MINI owner that would like to spice up their acceleration. Read full review

Transformed my Cooper

Id read all the reviews and watched the videos and decided to take the plunge for my r50 cooper.With a what the hell attitude if no good I can always resell it..

Well its been 2 weeks and all I can do is say wow and not stopped smiling.

It's transformed the mini into what it should always have been, instant sharp throttle response no delay instant get up and go.

I have it in Red 8 and with the slightest blip of the throttle it flies.

It's just such good fun genuine fun and makes the most of the engines abilities.

Sprint Booster BMW 320d E91 Touring

Read so many forums and watched so many you tube videos...now it's time to experience this little gadget myself

Took 10minutes to fit, a minute to set up and hours of grinning! The acceleration is pretty much instant now (I don't have a hybrid yet so cannot comment on turbo lag), very tail happy on bends and roundabouts, so first time users becareful as it can be snappy (race mode 9)

A few months on, and the grin is still there, but what I find the most useful feature is the pedal lock. Just 3 digits to press and it "locks" your accelerator pedal when parked up! I cannot recommend this enough and only wished I had discovered it sooner.Read full review

Great little add on to boost your throttle

Was a bit dubious about whether this would work, after watching several YouTube vids and reading reviews decided to give it a go.
Installing was very easy just plug and play.
Installed on my Mini Cooper s and noticed a difference right away, doesn’t fully get rid of turbo lag but the lag isn’t as bad, I’ve seen people comment that you can get the same throttle response if you just floor your peddle, not true at all, I’ve tried flooring it without the sprint booster and it just isn’t the same response.
This doesn’t add anymore HP or torque but it definitely gives a better response in your throttle.
I have it set on R7 with sport mode on but will probably tone it down and go with high sport/green mode.
Also like the pedal lock mode to stop anyone driving off with your car.
All in all I’m happy with the sprint booster as it most certainly has boosted my mini throttle response.Read full review

Expected more

I searched a bit and watched videos by sprintbooster. they claim that the kit 100% delets the delay between the pedal order and throttle response, meaning prompt secound response... but I don't believe that. I drive a highly modified mini cooper s, and can say the Sprintbooster Sport mode set on #9 is same as my car built sport mode button pressed and the Race mode set on #9 is more aggressive than it but I can steel feel a delay. I would say this kit improves the throttle response 80-90% on Race mode #9, not 100%. It's a good kit for street fast driving but doesn't meet the RACE expectations.Read full review

Quick and easy to install with surprising results after

A very easy gadget to fit it wouldn't no that you've installed it other than a little display with numbers for people who haven't got sprint booster yet it's like pressing the sports button on your car .
sport mode i.e. Green I have it set on number three on race mode which is red I have it set on number six there is 9 settings on each colour the higher the number the twitcher the throttle response .
the system automatically turns itself off once the settings on the car have closed down no need to turn off
