LDAC, bass, and quality sound... plus a slew of other stuff

High quality sound... a bit bass heavy, but that's tunable within the app. I tweaked the treble/mids a bit to get a flatter profile.

I got this specifically for the LDAC support and it doesn't disappoint. Battery life seems really good also.

Some people love the lights, some don't... also easy to customize or turn on/off in the app. Oh, and if you think the lights are ridiculous, turn on party mode and you can slap the different faces of the speaker to create your own sounds.Read full review...

Best Sound Compared To All Competing Speakers Hands Down. Sony's Battery Powered Bluetooth Speaker Lineup Are Best Bang For The Buck

It sounds excellent. Went to Best Buy and The Source and heard every speaker they had to offer. The XB41 was the far and away winner for loudness, clarity and bass. It beat the JBLs and Bose and all others. They were asking $249 at the time which wasnt as expensive as other units that this XB41 outperformed but was still too much. So I went online and bought a refurb unit from Secondipity on Ebay for $79. So glad I did. I eventually bought a second one to try the party chain feature. Its so awesome! The light show is such an awesome addition I use it quite a bit. Two of them sounds so good. I could only imagine 100 of them chained as they advertise is a capability. My buddy was so impressed that he even bought one too hha. And now we party chain 3 of them! Its insane how much sound 3 of these makes.
I like Sony's battery powered bluetooth speaker lineup so much that I bought a refurb GTKXB60 to add even more bass and low end power to my party chain! Newer is not necessarily always better!

I guess it has been discontinued in favor of an "updated" model. Well, the lights are different on the new one and that will just not fly with me.
