Good image stabilization

This camcorder is no longer available as a retail item, but it often comes up on eBay. Compared to the CX405, and CX240 the CX-625 has better stabilisation. This is not as good as the AX-33, but the CX-625 does not go for such a high price. This camera has the advantage of the CX405, CX240 and similar models in that you can attach a lens hood and filters. There is a microphone input socket, that is useful in some situations. very good images,records moving objects.

This is the first Sony camcorder i have had [previous ones being Panasonic].
I am not a technical wizard,i record images/events and transfer them onto dvd disc via dvd player/recorder.
I find this camcorder easy to use,for me,very sharp images when transferred to dvd disc.
There are very few blurs when recording moving images,in my case a recent banger racing event..whereas the Panasonic ones i had [not top of the range..but comparable to this Sony model] had numerous blurring problems.
My only complaint so far is that when playing back different images there is no timer countdown for each frame..hence the 4 stars.
The steady shot is fine for me..even with a larger battery.Read full review
