Sony BDP-S300 Blu-ray Player

An absolute gem of a first generation blu ray player

Tried blu ray few years ago and my lg was hard work. This time having read reviews etc decided to try this pre loved sony and its a doddle to use, ok the case itself is MASSIVE but it is a first gen machine and as have black glass unit dont even notice after a while. Performance wise this is outstanding and no slower to start than my smart dvd machine. Really enhances my old dvd collection, the difference is outstanding in audio and video no wonder sony machines hold their value. Came with power cable and remote so only added new hdmi lead and set to go, also love that holds film at wherever it paused even if turned machine off, much easier than dvd machine that always reset to start of movie. I had expected this to be small and compact, when received however, it was a huge old machine, nothing like what I had expected it to be, it didn't say in the add it was an old machine, it looked to be quite a young machine, however don't believe all you can see with your eye's in a picture, since it may not be what is expected.Read full review
