Improved Image Over Previous Models

I had an NEX 5N before this. Its image quality is wonderful. I didn't think the a6000 could be much better, but it is. The image is more detailed and more vibrant at the same time as being very natural. The kit lens is very good. It has an automatic zoom, which is good, but it is a bit clumsy to locate and use. The built-in flash is another improvement, but it must be raised manually. A big plus is the electronic view finder. One thing I miss very much from the older model is the touch screen with icons for menu navigation. Summing up, the a6000 has a lot of improvements from the older model, but it still has some minuses. For this reason I gave it a 4 star rating. 5 stars would be an order of magnitude better, which I would reserve for the a6000's big brothers. With its great image quality and flash and view finder, the a6000 is a keeper and a great value. Now that the a6300 is coming on the market, I would expect the prices of the a6000 to drop and make it an even better value.Read full review

I like the image quality and the price is not bad. I just feel the kit lens is not very sharp so I’m considering what lens to buy. The camera overall does a good job and battery life it’s good. What I did not like as much is the software from Sony to copy your pictures to you phone or computer. It has to be done over WiFi I would have preferred Bluetooth or any other way that does not disconnect my phone from the internet.
