Not worth the apparent discount.

On the surface this would appear to be an official Sony licensed product - but the controller I received was either a knock-off or produced in a region with much lower QA practices/standards. The controller I received bears no CE marking.

The controller 'works' as expected with the notable exception of the analog sticks which are stiff and unresponsive. Not massively noticeable at first, and if you are thinking of purchasing this controller simply to navigate menus/media then it will in all likelihood be okay, but trying to use these analog sticks for anything approaching fine movement control is borderline impossible. Both sticks seemingly have a massive deadzone when compared with official, store bought controllers and seem to lock to the vertical and horizontal axis, making diagonal/circular movement incredibly clunky and unreliable.

I was able to compare this issue with a functioning store-bought Dualshock 4 (with CE marking) bought 10 months ago and the difference was immediately apparent.

A faulty product but okay

The thumb sticks are tight to use. It is so clunky that I cant describe how bad it is. Also when you hold the R2 button it has a delay 😑😑😑

I forgot to say that the jackled (the plug socket for the headphones to connect to your controller) can be a struggle when you put your headset in because when you play a game or watch a film the sound can cut off😤😤😤Read full review

Not official sony pad

The analogs are stiff and not as responsive as an actual licensed Sony controller. Takes a while to connect via the bluetooth I'm guessing its the authentication due to it not being sony licensed. Copy/clone

This is not a genuine Sony controller, I took it apart and it's a got a small 600mah battery inside which I replaced with a genuine sony 1000mah battery, to be fair tho the controller does work ok but for how long.Read full review

Product fail

I bought a copy controller and paid the price. The shoulder buttons R1 & R2 don’t work and the battery only lasts barely a session or 1 day. Don’t waste your money and avoid buying these cheap copies.

These are also Version 1 in a Version 2 shell. The battery connector is old and the internals are recycled old controllers.Read full review
