Although still to use it a lot, i've found it very comprehensive with everything I should require for my needs. Picture and sound are excellent and used with the wifi linking in to my internet it gives me greater scope than I had before with a bog standard machine that only played discs.Read full review

Looks fantastic, great reviews but mine failed to work.
This 'refurbished' product looked brand new but sadly failed straight out of the box. Blu-Ray tray would not open. Child lock function checked and was not the issue. Unlucky perhaps but should have been tested prior to dispatch. I still want one of these!Read full review

Sound in Hi Res
I have already two 4K Blu Ray player, brought the Sony X800 for its Hi Res audio quality. I have a portable Hi Res player, but for home I need a high end player going thru my 7.1 AV receiver ( Pioneer ).
Back to Video on Sony X800, it is amazing when fed a Ultra 4K disc and the detail from my LG 55" OLED is spectacular. The details and texture on HDR is awesome.
The upscale on normal Blu Ray disc is excellent also, details are good but look soft compared to 4K disc.
I would recommend this Ultra 4K player for both video and Hi Res capabilities.Read full review
