This pulley wheel block and tackle puller is very good in quality. The rope is short than I expected, but it is strong. I needed 100 feet rope to use. So buying another rope would increase the cost. So anyone needs more than 65 feet rope has to keep this in mind. Other wise, I like it and would recommend it.Read full review

It's of o.k. quality, but use it within it's limits. My wife, my daughter, and myself, were able to use it to help move a big log on our deer lease...but it was a struggle. the other use will be for hoisting deer to clean and I have no doubt it will fulfill that role. the rope provided is cheap and far too slippery to get a solid grip on it. I will probably replace the rope with poly dacron or softer nylon because the provided rope is far too slick. Also when you are pulling the free end of the rope to hoist, you need to keep it in line with the pulley as straight as possible because it tends to rub on the steel frame and bind up some. Modify before using
Before you use it take a bolt out, go to the hardware store and get six metric lock nuts. I also changed where the rope terminates on the bottom pulley. I bought it up to the top, and fastened it to my top hook. Other than that it works fine. Read full review

Why buy the other brands that have half the capacity (or less) ..I wanted something to use year around...multi projects. only good for about 50 pounds max !!!
this item arrived as described . I tried to lift low weight objects ( less than 50 pounds ) and it worked well . when I moved up into higher weigh ( above 50 pounds ) and things just went down hill from there ! when you get up to about 100 pounds it stats to get VERY difficult if not impossible to lift ! you simply can not get enough of a grip on this small rope to lift much weight !!! as for the quality the rope is of good quality just not very big in diameter . the pulleys are very cheap made , very thin metal and I can not see this holing even 500 pounds , it is supposed to be rated for 2 tons but this block and tackle would never , EVER lift 2 tons without breaking !!! Great product for the price
I bought this block and tackle to mount a 48” exhaust fan 16’ up in the rafters of my barn. Fan and frame weighed about 200 lbs. I needed to raise, position, and fab mounts in place by myself. Read other reviews stating it’s unable to lift but knew that the mechanical advantage would be plenty for my need. Lifting 2 tons may take 400 or 500 lbs of pull, but my load only took about 30 to 40 lbs pull. When needed, I’ll replace the rope with something more comfortable, which will probably reduce the capacity but I’ll never be strong or heavy enough to max out this hoist. Great product. I BOUGHT THIS HOIST TO HANG MY DEER FEEDER. IT WORKS PHEMOMENAL, MUCH EASIER THAN USING A SINGLE PULLEY AND HAVING TO HANG ON THE ROPE TO PULL IT UP. I CAN PULL MY 100 POUND FEEDER UP INTO THE TREE WITH ONE ARM. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.
