Sloan flush valve

After 10 years of usage the original Sloan valve in our bathroom stopped flushing properly. I ordered a new valve on EBay, quick shipping, valve was easy to replace. defective unit

I rated every question a no, only to get your attention and find out what is the problem with my flush. I would like to have attached photos, but there is no way to attach them. I have purchased two new ones, and seem to continuously have the same problem . I follow the instructions on installing , turning until the water stops. It works fine for a while, then the water will not stop. I pull the unit out and find that the bottom sealing ring has pulled off. Question is why? Very frustrating! Please help. Works fine. Use silicone grease to install it.

It fixed the water leak after like 15 years of usage. Make sure to use sliocone grease at the bottom O ring to prevent water leak in the future. I highly recommend using a shower head to rinse the inside of the water tank to remove any debris. The factory instruction of opening the water for 3p seconds will not remove the old debris at the bottom after many years. The debris will cause water leak in the future. Follow the instruction to insert the cartridge by counter clock, do clock wise turn until it is 2 line below the tank, turn on the water line and turn the cartridge 1/4 turn at a time to avoid over tighten the cartridge, wait 30 seconds to check if the tank pressurized. You can hear the water start filling up the tank by the change of the sound. The water line filter probably does not need to be replaced. I also recommend using the wrench for this and a 22mm socket to remove and install it, it will be a lot easier as the cartridge requires a lot of torque to remove.Read full review

Easily fix your flushmate toilet

This product is the authentic valve from Sloan to fix your Flushmate when the old one wears out, as mine did after nine years of use. It's easier to install than it looks, and the instructions on how to do so and how to adjust it are thorough. Follow them! Installs easilly and works great

First you need to get the wrench that fits this cartridge and allows you to remove the old one and replace the new one easily. I did it once without the wrench, using the handles of a pair of water pump pliers, and broke several fins. Even with the broken fins, the wrench removed the old one, and the new one screwed in easily. It's plastic on plastic threads, so take it easy. The directions for taking it out, putting the new one in and adjusting it come with the cartridge. Once installed and adjusted it works great, just like a new toilet. I heartily recommend this cartridge, it fits and works just like you want it to. Remember to get the wrench to take the old one out, put this one in, and adjust it.Read full review

Restores the Flushmate to good-as-new performance, once it's properly adjusted... takes a few minutes. The genuine Sloan replacement cartridge is snug, but screws in with moderate torque. In contrast there are knock-offs for sale on eBay, supposedly made in the USA, that are too tight to screw in with any reasonable torque. Be sure you're getting the genuine article.Read full review

Awesome product, would recommend to anyone that would purchase 503 cartridge. It also comes with duckbill valve which is great cuz you can replace when you replace the cartridge it goes to the right upper corner remove that valve by hand replace it and hand tighten only when calibrating these cartridges go on YouTube and watch the video on how to calibrate make sure you do exactly what video, explains how to do great product guys thank youRead full review
