Slick 50
It is difficult to be objective in assessing the benefits of Slick 50 when used in a car engine and over the years there have been many reviews but I use the product in small 4 stroke petrol engines.<br>
When starting a small engine from cold by hand using a recoil starter the friction reduction is very noticeable. At present I use Slick 50 in a small generator as well as my lawnmower (both have small 4 stroke engines) in both cases cold starting is much easier.
Have bought the product for many years and give it a 5 star rating as it has proved helpful with my fairly limited application.

an absolute must to prolong engine life
far superior to any other symilar product, not a vicosity booster therefore oil is circulated immediately on startup.vital on cold starts.also coats all moving engine parts so no dry friction on starting.my volvo v50 d runs like a low miler even at 160k.Read full review

Worth its weight in gold
The timing chain tensioner in my old Mercedes was sticking and making the most alarming chattering noise. We put oil-flush/cleaner in the old oil, ran it for 15 minutes, refilled with quality oil plus Slick 50 and the chattering simply disappeared for a thousand miles - enough to get me from Scotland to the Czech Republic (home). OK, it's come back now, not so loud, so there's a job to be done, but the Slick 50 got me home, I'm sure of it. And not for the first time - in my old motorcycling days, it freed the piston rings on an ancient BMW - permanently - freed up the valves on a barn-find Triumph for long enough to ride it home and fix it, and performed many other minor miracles. I can't recommend it too highly to those of us forced by finance to get the last of the best out of old machinery, or just to get us home.Read full review

Power Improved
I have used this since it became available. A few years back I purchased a Reliant Robin, at the time I was a single parent and living on benefits I needed a cheap vehicle. The 850cc engine was good but when I put Slick 50;in it the difference was noticeable. The car was fibre glass and light immediately hills could be driven in higher gears and Fuel consumption was even better than beforeI highly recommend it.Read full review

saved my engine
used to have an escort 1.6glx to which I added slick 50.We had a drive to the lake district a round trip of approx 160miles.on arriving home I noticed a pinking noise coming from the engine , im no mechanic but my mate is I asked him to check it out he checked the oil and there was a drop of smoking oil on the end, he said had I not had slick 50 it would have seized. since then I have added it to every vehicle ive owned. I later owned a cavalier 2.0 16v on which the cambelt snapped requiring a head removal and regrind the engineering company remarked on how clean the inside of the engine looked and asked what had been used. I would highly recommend this 5 star treatment.Read full review

Slick 50 - A Must Have for Your Engine
Having used Slick 50 since the late 1970's and added it to every car I've owned since, I believe it has paid for itself 100 time over,
Given that little to no oil is circulated around your engine at start-up, it's good to know that the moving parts are already coated, making for less friction and wear.
In addition, more MPG is achieved too, which is always a good thing.
Overall, the product is highly recommended.Read full review
