Still a noisy gearbox

Quite a lot of money for 80ml of fluid which is very difficult to get into an awkward gearbox! Lots of the product wouldn't come out of the silly dispenser it is in. I also changed the gearbox oil at the same time and to be honest its still noisy with only a little bit less noise in the bearings in lower gears. Slick 50 is renowned for being good though so I give this product 3 starts to give benefit of the doubt. Might be better in less worn gearboxes (less than 125k in a small Suzuki).Read full review

Slick50 is always worth a try.

Nobody really knows if this product will fix your particular issues, but it is always a good place to start because it is cheap and easy. I had gear selection stiffness and this product appears to have eased the symptom.Read full review

A helpful additive for a noisy gearbox layshaft

I found this oil treatment helpful when added to my Renault gearbox when the layshaft bearings became noisy. There was some improvement also in selecting gears which were hard to select.

Not all it is cracked up to be...

I read many a good thing about this product so I thought it might just be the cure for my noisy gearbox...

It did quite the noisy gearbox ever so slightly but unfortunately my gearbox blew-up a week after Slick50 was put in even with fresh gearbox oil.

Moral of the story is that an additive is not a miracle cure for a failing gearbox or at least not in my case.Read full review

Added this with a litre of oil. Wasn’t expecting miracles with a 12 year old car but wow.
