Sleepers is awake!

This movie is a good adult picture. The theme is dark but not uncommon. Youngsters are abused by the adults entrusted with assisting them in changing actions to become responsible and trustworthy.

Is it an autobiography?

Many believe that this is a true story by the author, Lorenzo Carcatera, but that seems debatable. The story is quite disturbing as the first half deals with four very young boys who accidentally kill a man and are imprisoned in a juvenile facility. While there, they regularly experience sexual abuse by the guards. The last half skips forward to the time when the boys are released, have become adults, and encounter one of their former prison guards. Anything more would be a spoiler.Read full review...
