If you have done your homework on the gp5 Soviet mask you'll know it's a great cost effective way to protect you & your loved ones , or at leased giving your selves a chance against bad air. Just make sure to use modern filters pf5 or better. You can buy cheap Chinese standardised hoses that will take 40mm nato or RD40 thread filters . Beware treat all filters made before the mid 1990's as asbestos.Read full review...

Highly recommend gas mask

The Soviet Union GP5 gas mask is one of the best mask to have as a post-nuclear warfare or chemical warfare, the mask it self is very durable and fits most face pretty good. Understand unfortunately the 40mm filters due contain asbestos but using a modern 40 mm polish or Gost filters works really well for this mask. I highly recommend this mask for collectors or people that want to prepare for nuclear fallout or chemical warfare. Also I do want to conclude with that a 40 mm nato filter does screw on the mask but some say it doesn’t pressure or does not work but with my own experience I have gotten these nato filters to work on my Russian gas mask so you will have to try it yourself to see what works for your gp5 mask.Read full review...

This Soviet made gas mask is of a great quality for it's price, it is a little uncomfortable but still awesome to wear. Just so other buyers know, the GP-5 filter is old and contains unhelathy materials like asbestos and charcoal, it is recommended not to use old filters but purchase brand new SAFE ones.Read full review...
