Sitka Setting Sand
Can't give a long term review as yet but flows like kiln dried sand, if your laying new block paving, I suspect the sand will work as well using a plate compactor! After 2 days the sand had cured to a solid rubbery type material, all in all, in a short term review, I would say that this will last the course, of course time will tell!Read full review

Messy
Although a good product its messy in practice, the time to use this is when putting down a new brickweave driveway so it trickles into all the empty joints & sets hard, if used on an old existing driveway like i did unless your joints are wide enough it wont trickle into the joint, also when you wet it if your are not careful it washes out & leaves a messy residue all over the pavers. I’d say gently sweep it over the pavers when a shower is expected rather than use a watering can or hose for better results if possible. Also it doesn’t set fully hard but goes into a crumbly firm material, also it doesn’t stop weeds. Not sure of the overall benefits of this over kiln dried sand in all honesty which is a lot easier to carry out. Its an ok product but results looks messy.Read full review

I was not sure what to expect having already tried ordinary sand and cement on my patio paving but this product was easy to use and looks very good.
Having tried to fill tight gaps in my 20 year old patio paving with normal fine mortar over the years, without much success as dirt and weeds were always getting through, I tried Sica sand on the recommendation of a family member and found it all that was claimed with the additional benefit of an very easy to you product that can be gently poured into the smallest of gaps. I was so very pleased with that I have since gone round my garden filling in cracks in footpaths where ever needed. I have some of the Sica sand left over that kept airtight in a plastic bag, should be useful whenever any other cracks appear. It has filled in very fine and reasonably wide gaps with ease. I would recommend the product to anyone who needs to fill any fiddly gaps in paving slabs or block paving.Read full review

Good value for money, only time will tell if it washes out and weeds re appear
It’s only been a week since applying the sand to the block paved driveway, it looks very good at the moment, I hope it looks this good in twelve months. Very easy to brush in and two bags has has done nearly 100 square meters with some to spareRead full review

Silks setting sand
Well i am thrilled with setting sand.
I went to a builders yard and was told the price of the brand name twice and more the price of what I was prepared to pay..and he mentioned setting sand.
It was amazing ordered on e bay and it has transformed my patios. Only one colour unlike the expensive giving a variety of colours but this colour has been perfect for me...easy to apply and spray water to set...
My patios are amazing now and four people have ordered because of seeing mine...thank you so much...I needed to bags because large areas.
Very therautic to apply and the result of the product and price is just truly amazing.Read full review

Excellent for narrow jointing
very easy to use, and gets down into even narrow gaps. Tip though is to work it in quite slowly so the sand pours down into the joint progressively, brushing at 45 degrees seems to work best.Leave a bit of a pale film on the top of the paving after being wetted down, but minimal fine misting spray seems to reduce that. Job done!"Read full review

Did what it says .
I was a bit apprehensive after reading the reviews about white milky residue left etc, but I watched the video on you tube and followed the instructions. I used a stiffer brush initially to spread the sand and then a softer brush after tapping the blocks with the wood and hammer to brush off the excess.I had absolutely no problems using the product , however I personally used the garden hose set to spray. I can only assume those with a residue left did not use enough water because when dried the blocks had absolutely no residue at all on them and the sand had set firmly. The you tube clip only shows a very small area using a watering can . I would recommend using the hose on spray.
Obviously I cannot comment on how long it will last because it's just been done.
I fully intend to seal the drive when weather permits and this along with the setting sand should keep the moss off the joints for some time.Read full review

Works a treat easy to use
The joints have to be thoroughly cleaned out and I sprayed a good weed killer on a couple of weeks on your block paving with a pressure wash etc it was easy to use just some elbow grease to spread the silca sand make sure you sweep up the excess I lightly sprayed mine with water several times and it seams to have set I left the vehicles off the block paving for 24hrs also it looks nice and neat I will use it again..Read full review

Best available, dont waste money on similar products.
Best available product for grouting blocks and slabs. Easy to use, sets well and will keep the joints nicely pointed and weed free. Other similar products are useless as I found out with u canproduct..doesnt set and just washes out.. may as well just use sand! But sika is a whole different game! Do not economise at the final stage if you want a ling lasting maintenance free Finnish...Read full review

Good but leaves marks.
Works well into groves and holes...but leaves a white dusty film on slabs when dry........
I did it correctly and washed it down....very well.but when slabs dry looks terrible. ..
But when slabs are wet it looks very good. .....Lucky we stay in wet Scotland. ....lol....
Not impressed I could have done it correctly. ...but it would have took alot of time....it's not getting used again....I can't just keep the slabs wet in summer....???????Read full review
