Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution (Microsoft Xbox 360, 2008)

Civ Revolution- more than just a quick console game

Civilization 3 on the PC is my go to game. I've spent (wasted?) hours playing it, usually taking about 8 hours per game.
Civ Revolution for the Xbox 360 is a lot quicker 3-4 hours on the easier levels. It has the advantage of being a console game so loads quickly. It does have a few scenarios, the only one I have played is Lightning game which last 1-1.5 hours. There is plenty of depth in any of the games on Civ Rev, although not to the same level as the Civ games on PC, as you would expect.
All in all, I was surprised how much of the 'Civilization' experience is captured on the console. Some times the animations can be a bit busy and some times it is difficult to know just who is attacking you and where they come from. Other than that, I do thoroughly recommend this game even though it is a bit old for a console game.Read full review

Bought for my grandson. He loves this game. His previous one got broken.Arrived when said and packed well. It was second hand but you could not tell. It is played over and over again and no problems.

For a xbox 360 statigy game it definitely dose the job its fun to kill 3 or 4 hours building up your army and developing a civilization, takeing down your rival enemy civilizations and forming alignment with world leaders a good game for new players who have never experienced a civilization game however as a civilization game its self it dose lack in a few areas fans of the older games on pc may be disaponted that the game removes some features that are well known in the series and the sinareos in this instalment are weak compared to other Civ games as well as less turns in a game till end turn and the ability to rename your world leader and capurted citys. That said tho if your looking for a statigy game on the 360 will a learning curve then civilization revlotions dose the jobRead full review

I played this game years ago , now I have another copy I can't stop playing it ! In my opinion it is a fantastic game, addictive, compelling and sometimes frustrating !! but it is my favourite game.
