I already have an eight year old TZ50 on one of my bikes , I bought this TZ 50 because it is very good value for money , if kept clean , lubricated and adjusted they seem to last forever . The setting up and adjustments are easy and don't require special tools . I always fit a gear guard to help protect the gears from damage . There are no instructions with the derailleur , so if you don't know how to fit and look after your gears there are lots of good bike mechanics books available and Shimano instruction information on the web .Read full review

Stop trying to adjust your worn out derailler buy a new one ... I'd recommend this one to you.

I had no end of problems with the derailleur on my son's bicycle which I just couldn't get the adjustment right.

I bought this one and within a few minutes it was fitted and adjusted without and effort and it works 100%.

Basic rear derailleur

I bought this to replace a damaged derailleur on a boy's bike. This model was fitted to the original so I bought the same model. low budget gearchange

Bought to replace a damaged component on a teenager's roughly-treated bike. I didn't want to spend too much as I wasn't sure that the damage was repairable, but I managed to straighten the fixing bracket and fit the derailleur and, after some adjustments, got it working. The gears now work on most of the cogs, but indexing is not precise.
A higher spec part would probably work better but, for the price, this is adequate until the bike gets smashed again.Read full review
