Perfect Shimano Reel

Have had Shimano 6000 bait runners for years for carp fishing . Bought the smaller one for a 6 ft scope stalking rod and this is the perfect weight for this rod . It won’t be distance fishing so absolutely perfect .

Shimano stays at the top

For modern day fishing you don't need to use large reels. Shimano have transferred a lot of knowledge in to their new reels at a very good price. Free spool is in opinion a great safety feature when on the method or bomb. This reel is most at home on Commercials and canals for hard fighting carp.Read full review...

All Shimano reels are excellent, I have five. This baitrunner reel is excellent to let bolting carp have their head. Well made, smooth running, solid and feels right. Love it.

Good product, needs improvement

It is what it is, it does the job its designed for well, it's lack of availability is a failing but proves it popularity at this price point. Reeling bail arm reset could be improved to make its return action more easily activated.
