Shepherd Hardware 9785 4-Inch Spring Loaded Gate Caster

I would have given it a 5 except installation instructions lacked a few details. Such as for an uneven ground surface you need to find the highest point which the caster will go over. Then mount it high enough on the gate that the spring will just fully compress for maximum lift on the gate when closed. I would still recommend it. Looks to be sturdy for being a plastic wheel, just do not overload and remember it is a gate wheel. It is not built for constant rolling use.

Does the job!

A well built wheel that works well on my metal gate and moves over gravel. Only downside is you have to provide the bolts and nuts to mount it. Other than that it comes complete!
