Great little antenna
When it comes to the antenna, bigger is always better, it's just not always practical. I've lost count of how many times I've damaged an antenna on a low branch or a height restrictor, or lost one altogether in a multistorey carpark! Sometimes, practicality wins over gain. When you think about it, most of the time, when mobile, you'll be using a repeater a few miles away, you won't be talking simplex to someone 10 miles or more away, so maybe you don't need a large antenna anyway.
The NR770s is well made. It's surprisingly heavy for its size, so you know it's solid! It has the usual grub screws for loosening the sections for fine tuning. I found that mine was, as advertised, pre-tuned, so I left it alone.
A very durable antenna at a budget price.Read full review

Very good for the size.
Works well a little more expensive than those sought further afield but having been caught before I'm happy with this one!

Compact antenna
Good receive and transmit
Solid construction
Below 1.5 vswr straight out of the packet
The only problem I found with the antenna is there is no room for fine vswr adjustment
Apart from that not a bad antenna Read full review

A little pricey but a great antenna.
Dose what it’s meant to and looks good being small.

Short can be good!
I bought this as I was fed up with destroying taller high-gain antennas under low branches. To date it appears very robust and has put up with quite a lot of abuse on my gutter mount.
I do notice a lot more mobile 'flutter' on received signals in built-up areas but it doesn't seem to affect the output at all and transmitted signal reports I've had are good.Read full review
