Quite lightweight with great features.

This Shark is easy to use being able to get to corners, under low furniture etc. Being cordless is a bonus but the battery does make it quite heavy on your arms If you have arms or neck issues maybe a corded one would be lighter and easier to use. The bright light is great for showing up the dog hairs. On carpets it has slightly less suction then the Dyson Roller ball I own but is better on hard floors and weighs much less. You won’t regret it!

Common anxieties of a cordless tend to be performance of suction and length of battery life. On both accounts, I have found this Hoover to add perform in both areas. The suction power is so good, have not had to use the highest level or boost function.

The Hoover comes with two batteries lasting up to 40 minutes each and have still not utilised the second battery yet.

Obviously, this is relative and some may use the Hoover more often and for longer periods or on higher levels so it’s down to personal use.
I found connecting up the Hoover and removing and installing the battery very easy and found all areas of connection to be robust.
Know the most important part, the motordriven head which includes an amazing auntie rap hair brush that hopefully picks up and takes away a lot of shredded longhair around the home.
Something else, you know how overtime a fluffy carpet can bed down, well running over it with this Hoover fluff up The carpet again and give that soft feel underfoot.
The Hoover was surprisingly light and easy to manoeuvre with the useful lights at the front providing plenty of light.

A nice touch is how the Hoover folds down and takes up next to no space at all when in storage. Yes there are comparable competitors out there, however the anti-rap hairbrush was the main seller, not needing to manually remove any hair from the roller.

I have a second hoover that has a for push pedal to cut hair however I found this to not work on longer length hair.

It’s not about affordability or being able to purchase a high-end product, sometimes it’s just being able to pick up a hoover that meets your basic expectations of reliable performance.

On this occasion this Hoover has ticked all the boxes for me.

Fabulous!

Having had a Dyson cordless for a few years, I was expecting a lot from the Shark and wanted it to match the Dyson's performance. It exceeds the Dyson by a country mile. The Shark has two batteries, each giving you 80mins of vacuum time. That's a massive improvement on Dyson's performance. Emptying the dust bin is easier too, less fiddly than the Dyson. The bendy tube feature is handy for getting under low-lying furniture such as coffee tables. The only negative is that the Shark is a bit heavier than the Dyson, however, this does make it feel more robust. The look of the Shark is down to personal preference - I prefer it to the Dyson, finding it a bit more contemporary. So far, two weeks in - I'm loving it!!!Read full review

A versatile vacuum cleaner

I’ve been using shark vacuum cleaners for the past 10 years. The models have been sturdy and long lasting. This model continues on the same lines with the added advantage of it being cordless. The provision of additional battery is a boon. With the 2 batteries the cleaner lasts a good 80-90 minutes, sufficient for your average daily use. This particular model came with car cleaning accessories as well, thus eliminating the need for a second cleaner for the car. The folding feature also makes it easy to store.
