Must have professional finish the job, not as easy as it sounds
This monstrosity took me five weeks to get up and running. I'm a builder and doing stuff like this is usually pretty easy for me. YOU MUST HAVE A PROFESSIONAL VACUUM THE LINES! Another review said that AutoZone has the vacuum pump you can borrow. They do, but it won't work on these fittings. Frankly, it was not nearly as easy as others have said, but the biggest problem is getting it vacuumed. If you call HVAC companies, they will either refuse to do the service or try to charge you $750+. Go to Craigslist and place an ad for an HVAC guy to come out and do it privately, they'll do it for $100. Make sure to use Nylog on the fittings on the refrigerant piping. Now when I finally got it working, this thing is amazing! The compressor is totally silent and the indoor unit in silent, too. The air coming out is COLD. Will be interesting to see the heat function when summer is over. Read full review

NOT BAD SO FAR !
Good Product - SO FAR -
Installation Instructions and Videos ARE THE WORST EVER !
If I weren't an Engineer, I would not have been able to install it based on what they provided.
ADDITIONALLY, YOU MUST BUY A WALL MOUNT OR GROUND STAND FOR THE OUTSIDE UNIT !!!
YOU MUST ALSO HAVE A VACUUM PUMP AND METERS TO MEASURE THE EVACUATION OF THE LINE SET.
NOT SOMETHING THE AVERAGE JOE HAS - NEEDS AN A/C PERSON OR YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT TO EVAC PROPERLY. COST ME $100.00 ADDITIONALLY !Read full review

Great Mini Split - DIY Install - 24k btu in 2 car garage/shop/Laundry - Works Great
I installed this in an uninsulated 2 car garage that has our washer and dryer in it also. It’s 100 degrees outside and this unit has no problem maintaining 75 degrees or even lower. This is a great unit for the price and I was able to install everything myself. I did have a friend pull a vacuum and open the refrigerant after everything was installed.
The insulation wrap included is worthless and doesn’t stick to itself. A line set cover and better tape will be needed if you want it done right. You will also need all the electrical including a double pole breaker for your panel, an AC disconnect mounted close to the outdoor unit and all associated wire and conduit. I bought 25’ of red, black, green #10 THHN wire from Home Depot. Drilling a hole in the brick proved to be the biggest headache and I ended up taking an entire brick out and chiseled it down and then reset it with mortar.
All in all I installed everything for $1100 and would have paid 900-1100 in labor to have it professionally installed. The price of installation will buy a complete new unit, so I couldn’t pay that. Read full review

OUTSTANDING - Who else gives you batteries???
This is a great unit. A little background on the install. When my wife built the house 25 years ago, she made all of the exterior walls 12" thick (this was long before she and I were married), but I am not even going to venture a guess as to why (better left unsaid at this point). Anyway, when I went to install the indoor unit, the line set only extended 2" beyond the outside wall. I ended up using a 5/8" male/female swivel elbow to allow for the downward connection of the 16' copper lines (absolutely no possibility of making the 90 degree downward bend and no chance of using a line set cover). That being said, I also used Flare Seals in all of the connections and the vacuum pulled and held first time.
I powered this unit up and immediately noticed (both inside and outside) how extremely quiet this mini split is. Sitting on our front deck (six feet from the outside condenser), it can barely be heard even at it's highest speed. The indoor portion cools extremely fast and even on turbo mode is very quiet.
I am now installing an 18,000 Btu unit in the back of the house and it is going very smoothly based on lessons learned from the first install.
Senville tech support is outstanding in answering any questions or concerns you may have, and you actually get to speak to a real person in a very timely manner. They go above and beyond to assist you in getting your unit installed.
I would definitely recommend Senville to anyone considering installing a mini split A/C - heat pump.Read full review

Excellent Value, Excellent Construction
Very well constructed system. Attractive cabinet and I'm very pleased with how well it is performing so far. We've had a relatively cool but very humid and wet spring/early summer so far, so I'm using the dry feature to dehumidify the air and it's so comfortable in this house right now. I hired a contractor to do the install just because I didn't want to take any chances and I wanted it done right. It was worth it to me. This is a large unit and I was glad to have someone handle it for me. Excellent value, excellent unit. Couldn't be happier.Read full review

Replaced our window A/C units and baseboard heaters
17 seer on cooling, heating mode is 9.5 out of 10.2
I purchased the 24,000 btu leto series and installed it myself. The instructions were straight forward and went without a hitch. I must confess I use to build rooftop A/C units for Webster Eng. Also installed and serviced automotive A/C units so this was a breeze. I can't say enough good things about your system, it works very well as it replaced the window A/C units as well as the baseboard heaters here in Portland Oregon. The 3 bedroom house is only 1000 sq.ft. Thanks for a quality product. GlennRead full review

Awesome and efficient unit.
I feel the product is as good quality as any of the mini splits on the market. Everything was included for the installation and was a simple process. The inside unit and outside unit looks really good. The finish looks like it will hold up to the weather for years to come. The unit is very quiet and smooth running. At this point I don't see on cons. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. The unit was shipped and delivered within a week. Read full review

so more efficient than central system, and the seer rating can be more savings
living in the desert our a/c bills were a problem. we have been able to cut our electric bills by half, just by cooling areas that we use. As a result i can cool the bedroom to 73 degree, and leave the rest of the house in the 80 range. plus the heating is very efficient, and doesnt smell like other forms of heatRead full review

Split-system is the wave of the future for efficiency
I am 70% done with the installation and have the inside part, piping, and wiring all done. I have to pour a concrete slab for the outside to sit on. When I ordered it it came in TWO DAYS, no damage. My son is here from the great frozen North and when he leaves in a week I will finish the installation up. Split system is the way to go for maximum efficiency for both heating and coolingRead full review

Great Unit
This is a great unit, was easy to install and works like a beast!! It was 102 degrees here today in the heat of the summer. I fired it up this morning and it worked flawlessly at 72 degrees inside and was very comfortable. This unit is very powerful yet extremely quiet you can barely hear it at all. I highly recommend this unit you will be impressed, we love ours A+Read full review

Install was a bresse
Installed this unit in my remodel because we didnt want duct work. Did all the work myself, im handy so it was easy for any good diy person! We have around 1000 square foot of space and the first night it was 28 degrees f. I turned it up to 82 and got complaints it was to hot. GOOD DEAL😎... after heating with wood most of this winter in missouri. To have a decent priced unit with even heat distribution will be a blessing.
2 things
1 the description states that no wireing is included. But the signal wire between the two units is included. Great suprise to not have to pruchase it additionally.
2 the instructions say you will need a flareing kit. My line set was factory flared another great suprise.
With factory flares i tightened the connections good and snug and with some planning and research i decided not pull a vacuum to check for leaks but did soap test ,no bubbles. Another cost avoided having to get a ac guy to come over and pull a vacuum. Its been pumping heat for 24 hours no issues.
I mounted the unit low on the wall to draw air from the floor for more even heating. Pretty sure it will work fine for cooling also with the return being on top of the unit.
Hope this helps other make a decision but so far i love it.
Fyi my brother just had to fix his old heat pump...one part cost almost as much as this whole system. Read full review
