Purloined these Sennheiser HD485s on a whim, but gained a considerable improvement over my 465s: better timbre, with more clarity and more depth. Replacing the circum-aural earpads proved necessary, but the comfort gained over the supra-aural 465s is such that after a while one forgets the cans are on the head at all; have several times woken up with a warm 'safe' feeling. Nothing like the original

Faux leather. Don't fit the HD485's properly so had to BlueTack on. Too dense and small, so presses against the ear and spectacle frames. Eventually bought expensive genuine replacements and these were worth the money, returning my headphones to their original state.Read full review
