Snipe 2 Satellite is amazing
Can't believe how quickly my snipe 2 arrived from Germany. All set up very quickly with an avtex TV bought separately. Came with mounting bracket which we will eventually fit to motorhome but initially set up on a table. Cable lengths are very long so can be situated anywhere. Came with carry case. Very heavy and larger than I expected but now have 260 + channels (not all of them working). Picture quality amazing unlike with old satellite dish and very easy to set up as long as you read the instructions !! Absolutely delighted with product.Read full review

Bought this to replace a far more expensive auto satellite system. It arrived in 3 days from date of order and was well packed. It comes in a strong plastic case with handles so is very portable.
I have permanently fitted mine to the roof of my motorhome. It can be used as a freestanding unit in just about any location you choose. In fact before I fitted it to the motorhome I connected it up in the garden to test it placing the unit on the lawn the satellite was located in less than a minute with strong signal and super picture quality on my portable TV.
The fitting instruction are clear, precise and easy to follow.
Set up was easy you turn on, select the satellite and press ok. It took about 45 seconds to search for and lock onto the satellite and the picture quality was first class.

Have set up snipe and have to say this definitely seems like a great piece of kit . Im not fixing permanent don't want to drill anymore holes in roof plus easy to take if change van i fitted a satellite connector in battery box and wired to main tv point for my old tripod dish so i was able to set up snipe in 5 mins set up on roof through skylight toss the two fine cables over the sides one connected to sat feed the other connects to controller just through window fine it doesn't affect window closing plug in power job done . finding sat signal very easy chose satellite my case astra 2 and 90 seconds later perfect picture should have got one of these years ago no more messing about with dish and sat finder or going out on a bad wet night to readjust . Easy setup, excellent reception and very good value for money
This is so much easier than a dish on a tripod that we had for several years. This is now the second Selfsat Snipe that we have had on a motorhome. When we upgraded our 'van it was the second accessory we added after an alarm. The cost of the equipment is better than half the price of most satellite dishes that can be roof-mounted on motorhomes and caravans and it outperforms most of them. It is low profile and compact and we have happily watched mainstream British TV (BBC, ITV, Ch4, etc.) in France south of Clermont Ferrand and in the Alps, in Belgium, Holland and in Germany beyond Frankfurt. We have a new TV to go with it and we can now enjoy HD programmes as well. Fitting is not included, but full instructions were included. I'm not a handyman and not allowed to drill holes in anything so we had it fitted for us. Even so, the cost was much less than most other roof-mountable satellite dishes before installation costs. The estimated reception area is given at about the same as a 60cm dish, but I think it is nearer to an 80cm one.
The control unit was surprisingly big compared with the version 1 unit, but it is easy to use and can be installed in a discreet position.Read full review

Simply the Best!
This is just a stunning combination. Fitted a manual crank-up satellite dish to our van 6 years ago and while better than faffing around with portable dishes it was still be a pain at times. Old TV a cheapo 12v Matsui, separate Freesat box. Decided enough was enough and the kids inheritance can go hang! Bought this brilliant combination and could not be happier. Easy to fit, no need for a sat-box and the Snipe found Astra 2 in moments, even in a notoriously difficult location (our garden, with a 15' hedge and 20 trees over 60' high!). What helps is the ability of the unit to adjust the planar tilt and carry out minute adjustments with precision - no more standing half in the wardrobe trying to twiddle a crank handle, seeing the signal strength lines go to max then frustratingly disappear.
