A good replacement for a failing hard disk in a desktop PC

I purchased a Seagate drive because the one it was to replace was also a Seagate and with the S.M.A.R.T. feature it warned me that the hard disk was failing. This was also evident by the slowness of accessing some items from the disk. The failing disk still allowed me to create an image which was then put onto the new drive. As the new drive is a bit larger I now have an extra drive E: to put stuff on. Quite an easy process all round.Read full review

Perfect match

This item was purchased to provide a back-up drive and is identical to one already in my PC. I use Goodsync to back up what I want so needed a good quality reliable drive that will work seamlessly every two hours or so. This drive does all that and more.

It would also suit a system running a RAID configuration.

Very easy to install and format under Windows 10 or any other system.

Excellent replacement hard drive

My computer literally died on me and I decided to purchase the Seagate Barracuda hard drive hoping it would solve the problem. My husband and I removed the old drive and inserted the new one with the help of a Utube video. I then reinstalled windows from disc and hey presto, my computer is up and running again. Fast drive, huge capacity and inaudible.

Seems fast opperating, fallout 4 is a decent test for it and loading up takes about 25 seconds which is about 10 seconds faster than my other harddrive with the same rpm rating.
