Lightweight, Great Product, Great Value

The Seagate is an excellent product, plug it in and you are ready to go. I use it for my small business and was able to declutter my computer in no time. The transfer rate is excellent and very lightweight and extremely portable! Good Value for the price.

My disappointment using my new external hard drive.

5 years ago, I purchased and used a Seagate External hard drive to supplement my dvr's hard drive to record tv programs. For years I enjoyed viewing at times most convenient for me. A few months ago, the recordings broke up into pieces and the audio was blurred or not heard at all. I suspected the problem arose because I had recorded over the drive numerous times since I started to use it. So, I purchased a new Seagate external hard drive to record the tv programs. To my extreme disappointment, most of the recordings are all broken up like those on my older external hard drive. using it to store multimedia files

I tend to lean towards solid state drives, but to be honest a little pricey.
The Seagate external hard drive was a good alternative, providing the storage capacity I was looking for, at a good price. I’m using it to store multimedia files, it’s performing well. I think I only notice a delay while playing a video on one occasion, could have been a bad file.
