Crashed after only 10 months use

I bought this hard drive 10 months ago as additional storage, the product at first seemed perfect, and I was using it as a data dump for my movies and tv shows, sadly a few days ago, it has crashed. Typically such drives can last anywhere from 5 to 10 years. The machine I used has the same model of drive, has ran for 9 years with no issues, it could be that I was just unlucky.Read full review

2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA III 3.5 7200RPM 1 year on

Excellent HDD been running for 1 year now and never had any problems. I have windows running on a SSD and use this for my games and recording them to place on my YouTube channel. 2Tb is more than enough to keep me from losing space currently have 1.07 still free. Games are becoming so big now that I only have my most favorites games installed (32 games for now) Likes of ARMA3 54GB alone and the Witcher III is just under 50GB. I was always a fan of Seagate drives but this one has failed after just 17months, so not impressed. Bought Oct 2019, failed March 2021.
