The charging ports not made strong.

It’s a great product but the ports are made cheaply for connection to the computer. However it’s a great deal works out the box for Mac and pc. I love the front USB ports.

Seems reliable after a few months. Don't set it on a hard surface and expect quiet service. Otherwise it's great.

Exactly as Advertised

On Windows 10 Pro it was plug and play. My backup software is Acronis True Image Home 2019. It was a breeze to change the backup destination drive to this new 8TB.

I used one of the USB 3.0 ports on the front of the Seagate to plug-in my older 3 TB drive it replaced. It too worked fine. Although those USB ports on the front of the Seagate are not blue (usually signifying 3.0) they are in fact USB 3.
