Drive was bought for clean installation of Windows 7 following abortive upgrade of Windows 10 system which locked my C drive. Numerous phone calls with Microsoft failed to restore the Windows 10 system. Windows 7 was sucessfully installed on the new drive and I was able to access all saved files on the now D drive. Not recommended

Now a lot of people would say I’m being picky but I really don’t think I am. Now I play games on pc. Now when playing games this hard drive had an extremely hard time loading in data, such as buildings or large structures. And I get it does not say this thing is built for gaming but I would say if your looking to just watch movies and play candy crush then buy it. But if you’re looking for something higher end gaming wise.....well I have tested this and have given it a negative rating. And being quite truthful I wish I put a slightly bit more money and going else where and buying brand new from the likes of shops. This was also loud. It stores data

It is a 1TB HDD. I have four of these (and four of the old model half as big). All work well and do what I want them to, which is to be in a lightly used RAID. There are other models more suitable for heavily loaded RAIDs, but these are fine for light use. The oldest new one is a three or four years old and still going strong, as are the secondhand ones. The data SMART shows they are all running well.

These are slightly old models, without the cost-cutting stull which has afflicted some of the newer ones, which reports indicate have not been a success in some uses. If building a RAID in future I'll use the IronWolf range, which have not been cost-cut yet.Read full review

Lightweight with quiet operation

Works as it should straight out of the wrapper.
