Nice little saw for limbing

Have had a chance to use saw. Great for limbing. I only use 92 octane no ethanol. Had to adjust carb slightly.
I am not sure about the oiler. Does not pump enough bar oil so chain runs hot. Next time out I will try maybe some burnt motor oil and see if that will put some oil to the bar.
One other issue is the hose inside the tanks are stiff. When you cut with the saw on it side, with bar down, the filter does not fall to the bottom. Of course the saw runs out of gas. I will have to tinker with this. Hoping the hose becomes more flexible over time. If not I will change the filter and put one with a heavier weight.
Overall I am ok with the saw for the price. It will do the job I bought it for.
Update: At first it ran good just had to be careful to tip now and then to get oil to the bar. Then it just went south. Would not idle and would rev when tipped. Adjustments did not help. Just discovered the hoses have give up and the rubber plug that holds the hoses in the gas tank leaks. Got it running again but a little down pressure on the handle and it revs. Guessing the piece between the carb and the engine has a crack. Obvious these parts are not of quality to withstand gas and oil. Engine still has good compression. Can't just run to the store for parts. Basically for $113 you run it for a bit and then junk it. What a shame. Has maybe 25 hours use. I would not buy this brand again.

Decent choice for the price

This saw isn't as easy to start as some reviews indicate. Also, the throttle response is nothing like the product description details. Mine has to run several minutes before it will accelerate without bogging down, or even turn the chain. Once it's warm it cuts fine. Handing size and weight for removing limbs from down firewood, trimming, pruning, or small brush cutting. Even when warm the throttle response is a bit sluggish. A little adjustment might correct the sluggishness. So how can it be recommended and a good value when the quality isn't great? Keep in mind this saw is less than half the price of a low end Stihl or Echo. It's okay for what it is and somewhat handy for a homeowner. Nowhere near professional grade.Read full review

Best Chainsaw For The Money

Very well packaged. Starts easy when hot or cold. Can't go wrong with it. It takes 40 to 1 mix. Glad to see it has a primer bulb. I reviewed this saw on YouTube if you wanted to check it out. There are a lot of uses for such a light weight saw. Very happy customer. Great job Scheppach!!Read full review

Highly Recommended.

I've only had if a couple days, but so far I am impressed! I have a Poulan Pro, not a top notch saw, but not a total turd either. I would give it up in a heart beat for the Scheppach. I got it out of the box and assembled it. Mixed up a little fuel (My Poulan is 50:1 this is 40:1), primed it and three pulls of the cord later, I'm cutting. It feels good in my hand, easy to maneuver in tight spaces especially on my crab apple tree that has a lot of little sucker branches close to the ground. I'll add pics and an update after I cut down the ash tree in my front yard. The emerald ash borer got it.

Update:

After 6 hours of cutting all the damage is gone from my Ash tree. I used the 18” Poulan where I had to, but the Scheppach got the majority of the action. I need to adjust the oil Down. It drowns the bar with oil. Not a huge deal. Just ends up with a lot of wood chips stuck in the machine that have to be cleaned out.

A hand full of power

This is my first top handle saw and I love it! Starts every time and cuts fast, chain stays stopped until about 1/3 throttle so I can climb safely with it running. Seems like good German engineering and construction. If the blade was longer I'd get rid of my mid sized saws and use it most of the time.Read full review

Wow. Awesome little saw!

I am extremely impressed with this saw. Very solid and well built. Starts first pull and stays running unlike the commercial husqvarnas we have at work! I can't afford a stihl to do side work so I bought one of these. As soon as I unboxed it and put it together I ordered a second one. 150 bucks you can't go wrong. Great climbing saw for the budget arborist.Read full review

SO HANDY!

Fantastic lil saw! No complaints works like a champ. Have used it extinsively multiple times and it hasn't had any issues. Gas ratio is different than my other saw and trimmer, but thats okay they included a very easy to use mixing/storing bottle. Buy this! You won't be disappointed. Read full review

Great saws- Great price

It's a great little saw, The shipping and handling was as described. The saw was easy to assemble and started with in just a few pulls.. My only complaint is they could place the on /off switch in another place. Depending where you put your hands it's easy hit the on/off switch on the handle. The power of the saw is very nice.. I would buy this saw again with no hesitation.. Thank you for offering a great saw at a good price..Read full review

Light weight saw

Overall good saw has a few bugs that manufacture could work out such as placement of on off switch I find it easy to bump it when running the saw
