Not as good as the predecessor
I like the Sansa Clip - always have done. I just don't understand the benefit of removing the hold toggle (to prevent unwanted button presses in pocket), change from a mini usb to micro usb (the size of the player doesn't reduce - it simply increases the chances of damaging the socket), and reduction of sound quality when compared to my original from pre 2010. Still no real alternatives though.
*I have since found the hold toggle - you need to hold the back button for some time although it does unlock sometimes. It still does not beat a mechanical toggle switch for this function.Read full review

A dreadful new design please can we have the old one back?
I have had a sansa clip for over 10 years. This new configuration is terrible after using the clip. Podcasts automatically switch off after the last one when using the clip, but with the jam it just keeps going. It is possible to set a sleep timer, but settings are not saved so it needs to be done every time it's switched on. An awful change in system. Please let us have the old clip back. Interestingly old ones are still available on ebay, but they are much more expensive than the new jam. A very regrettable change in design.Read full review

Sansa Clip
Thank you, its a really good Mp3 player and i'm happy with it, i had one of these a few years ago, i think that was a 2gb where as this is 8gb, so thats good also but if i had to complain of anything which is why i gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is the highest bass setting isn't all that bassy, but other than that, definetely very happy: )Read full review

Was ok
Recieved item was smaller than expected, very disappointed in sound quality, had to alter on custom EQ, still not great sound to what is the norm for MP3 for the cost was expecting better then Recieved, wouldn't recommend for adults more for kids really.Read full review

Great MP3 player
This has got to be one of the best value MP3 players on the market, great sound, very easy to use.
Has good settings for different styles of music, the only draw back is it can not be locked

Sana'a clip
This is my second Sansa, it has proved more reliable than the iPod which kept crashing, and an average 12 hour battery life, perfect for long trips!

Good value but can't play albums w/o shuffling song order
Very good value for the money! The only drawback I've found is it doesn't play an album without shuffling the order. Album song order is an art form in itself, and I'd prefer to hear it the way the artist planned it. Read full review

Could be better
This is a nasty plastic MP3 player, tiny screen to try and read anything. The supplied ear buds didn't work and when I plugged mine in I have to put the plug in just half way to get both sides to work, thus the plug keeps coming out of the socket.. (my ear buds work fine on 3 other devices)
It does the job, you can download audible books onto it.Read full review

the best for audiobooks
I love the size, the clip, the sound quality and find it easy to use. The battery life is brilliant. I listen only to audio books and love the fact that when you turn it off it starts again at the same point in a chapter where you left off. I wouldn't want anything elseRead full review
