Does pretty much everything I need except won't record calls, which seems to be an issue with all later Samsung phones.

Brilliant robust smartphone.

Robust smartphone with the added benefit of being water resistant.
Modern smartphones mostly have a non replaceable battery which is a shame as there is usually live left in the device when the battery has expired.
The xcover has a user replaceable battery which is easily changed and giving the benefit of having a spare battery if you are away from a charger for a few days.
The screen is daylight readable in sunshine, it is more then capable of running all the usual apps with plenty of storage which is expandable.
Camera is excellent for everyday use.
A full charge will last for 2 to 3 days with moderate use.
