Extremely fast and very reliable
I've had other Samsung M.2 ssd drives tand have never had a failure. Very repiable. This Gen 4 drive is awsome and is extremely fast. I'm now using my 1tb drive in another PC. It still tests out as as excellent condition after several years of general use.Read full review

Samsung m2 980 ssd
This 980 ssd 2t is installed in a Dell XPS 15 i9 32gig laptop.
It replaces the 1t that Dell originally supplied.
The extra Storage and the terrific performance really augments this 4k, touchscreen laptop.
It was a simple task to change out the boot drive as well as partition the drive for 2 1t, C and D drives.
This laptop really rocks!

Get the right gear first
Incredibly fast!
A couple things to know...You will want to make sure you're using a mainboard/CPU combination which will allow you to get the full speed experience. In my case that is an AMD Ryzen 5950 in an X570 chipset. From what I've read in other reviews these SSDs won't provide the big benchmark numbers everyone seems to crave if you're using an Intel CPU.
Great product.Read full review

Good reliable SSD and one of the fastest. But the "cloning software" stinks.
This has the right numbers for read and write speed, about the fastest you can get for the price. I've bought 8 or 10 Samsung SSD's, they are reliable and never had one fail. The SSD itself is great, the excuse for "cloning software" they have is a disgrace, you have to use something like Macrium Reflect instead. Please get with it, Samsung, your cloning software stinks! Great Drive, very fast Gen.4 NVMe SSD that works great and loads everything super fast from your OS to video games to assets in Photoshop and Premier Pro.

Samsung 980 Pro 2TB nvme SSD, inexpensive upgrade makes i7 8700k /MSI Z390-A Pro computer quick like a bunny
I added the Samsung 980 Pro 2TB nvme SSD to my MSI Z390-A Pro motherboard as a replacement to my 2T SSHD which was logging intermittent errors in the event log. The MSI Z390-A Pro motherboard has only one nvme slot so I installed a PCIe 16x nvme card and mounted the 980 Pro. I then cloned the SSHD to the 980 Pro and have noticed that my applications are responding faster. This upgrade has extended the life of my computer as I was in the process of migrating to a new computer. I am now 100% ok to push that move off until Windows 10 expires or maybe I'll buy a TPM 2.0 module and upgrade to WIndows 11. Read full review

Samsung 990 PRO is worth the money,.
Have a few 980 Pros in my systems. Based on the reliability of those and the reviews on 990Pro, it was an easy decision to try one of these.

Nice!
Very fast on certain downloads (compressed files downloads don’t exist) temperature is great, stayed at 50c for 10 hrs. Gaming load times decreased significantly. So far, so far a great purchase👌🏽
