Awesome peice of kit

Absolutely fantastic. Fitted into my rental property because the stopcock was inaccessible behind kitchen units.
Gives the tenant the ability to flick a switch just inside one of the kitchen cupboards if there is a leak in the house.

Have two of these in different properties, first one has been in for about 4 years, and used 6-monthly.

Easy fit Mains shutoff

Word of warning.
Internal bore size is only 15mm regardles if the speedfit is 22mm or 15mm.
I planned to fit to a 22mm gravity cold feed from attic tank to an emmersion tank, only to find 15mm bore size waterflow is all you will get regardless if 22mm or 15mm pipe fittings.
My change of plan had me purchased from screwfix two pushfit adapters to fit to my 15mm mains water pipe.
It works well with one flick of a switch the mains is shut off.
Easy to fit if have diy skills.
Dont forget to purchase two earthing straps and earth wire to bridge over the plastic fitting for continual earthing of pipework.

Peace of mind

My house is only 10yrs old and the stop tap is behind the sink unit like so many others. When I needed to turn of the water to fit a new sink it was a hell of a job half an hour climbing into the unit and freeing the ceased cock with WD40 and a wrench. What if it had been an emergency?, water every where, damage, cost!

Great bit of kit

Love these. Easy enough to install. Very practical. Probably should be a standard alongside the regular stoptap in every home. The only minor criticism is that the white channel housing the 2 blue tubes from the switch is very difficult to curve neatly when pinning it to the wall. Most stop cocks are very difficult to access and even harder to operate. If you have a loved one your parents, then I recommend you fit one for them.
