Cool little knife

Very awkward to remove packaging, I had to dismantle mine to get all the packaging removed from inside the knife. It seems to be packaged in some sort of plastic type cardboard so it can be quite tough. Once removed, everything is great.

When folded has a nice small footprint.
Easy to change blades
Safety features
One handed opening if required.

Looks fab - what a disappointment though!

Looks lovely - very stiff and hard to use though. We purchased this as out trusty "Jefferson" tool broke after many good years service. This arrived and very excited to open it - VERY difficult to get the packaging off the unit! There is a piece of plastic now still lodged inside it - even now as we just cannot get it out without dismantling the thin! There are NO instructions on how to use it and only found the blades by accident - terrible design so needs a re-think. Button to switch blade is is also not sturdy so would not be durable in the construction field. Sorry - not a good buy from our perspective.Read full review

Perfect Stanley Knife

Retracts perfectly and stays rectracted. Thumb plate so you can apply pressure when needed. The one thing I really like about this knife is that it folds so is easy to drop in your pocket so its always there when you needed. When its open (unfolded) Its as strong and solid as a fixed knife. To speed blade changes simply press the little red button, pull out the blade and either turn it round or discard and use a new one, Even that's taken care of as you can carry spare baldes in the body of the knife. A great pocket tool

This is great well made and solid knife, the best part about it been able to fold it up and carry in your pocket, it can carry spare blades and has a slot in it for cutting cord or string, I have one little niggle about it and that is when you need to fold the knife up it's a bit of a fiddle because you have to push a mettle spring located inside the knife and it's not that easy, it should have been made with a button or a slider to do this, but I still think it deserves 5 stars though.Read full review

Fatmax knife

I already own a folding knife and have done for a couple of years but in need of a new one, so I was looking for the same I own already and that's Stanley also.
I come across the fatmax retractable and bought it, when it arrived I looked at it and was amazed it really is a good quality knife, not only does it fold in half but retracts the blade so it can still be left open as a full knife but still safe with the blade hidden. Fab, how ever I do have an issue, it only holds three and they are quite difficult to get a blade out if you keep three in it. Apart from that it's a good,strong usable knife.Read full review

Good product, shame about the packing.

When it arrives, it will come with a sheet of plasticated cardboard, inserted throughout. The only way to remove it, to use it, is to have the funny star shaped screw removed, and dismantled. The tear-proof cardboard can then be removed, and a blade inserted. Re-assemble, with or without the funny bit of black wire on the outside of knife as well. Retractable Folding Knife Review

I'm quite happy with this product. It arrived in perfect condition, easy to set up, and easy to use.

Stanley fat max knife

Brilliant little knife, fits in the pocket perfectly or clips on to your belt so that you don't put it down somewhere and forget where you put it, and it's lightweight. Only drawback with it is the blades themselves, not very sharp but you can buy better blades that fit.Read full review
