Works fine for lap swim
I got this to keep track of my laps while swimming. The strap is adjustable so it fits nicely with just the right amount of friction to hold position and does not chock my finger. The counting works but I haven't figured out hold the timer to pause in case I need a break. I swim for an hour constant and so it keeps accurate track as long as I don't forget press the button each lap. The timer feature is nice so I know my average time. It records the fastest and longest lap time but since I mess up sometimes and press at a slightly different time in the turn, it doesn't mean as much. The average time is useful so I mostly watch the laps and average time. I've only had it for a week so can't comment on battery life.

Whoever designed this product thought it through :-).
Comfortable, and easy to use (once you read the instructions - which are very clear).
I mostly like that it displays the lap number for 5 seconds from after the button is pressed to allow me enough time to check it. I also like the summary it shows in the end.

Easy to use

Prefer this over watch based counters
I have been using this product for several weeks now. I much prefer it over any wrist-based product. With swimmers, just tapping it with your thumb increments the lap counter. It reliably counts laps, give me fast speed slow speeds and average speeds, just fine. At first, I thought the closure mechanism might not work well on the water, but it works fine. Does what it's supposed to....counts and times laps while swimming. It attaches to the index finger, and laps are easily recorded with a thumb press to the relatively large button. I had one of these 10 years ago on my dh bike for timing runs. It eventually died. I found this one which is the same with an improved button.
