Excellent coverage, and long-lasting results.

I have thick and curly waist length hair, and one bottle of this is just about enough to do the job perfectly; other brands I've tried, I've needed at least half as much again, sometimes double. While it may seem expensive, especially compared to other brands, given how long it lasts, I believe that it's actually good value.

I love that this hair colour is really easy to apply, isn't particularly messy (tip: if you get it on your bath or sink, it comes off very easily with some bicarbonate of soda on a scourer!), and lasts ages, with minimal fading. I started using it six months ago, and in that time, have only had to top up my colour twice. There is a small amount of colour transference at first, so it's best to use an old or dark pillowcase and towels but after a couple of washes, it's fine.

It's just a shame that the SFX dyes can sometimes be difficult to find in the UK because in my experience, they really are the best.Read full review

Will buy again

Hi-octane orange turns out to be a deep rich orange. As far as semi-permanent hair dyes go this fades OK, although I do put an amount in my conditioner! I am fairly new to the dying my hair myself game, but this is my favourite so far. Will be purchasing againRead full review

Longer lasting purple

I was recommended this dye as the purple I had been using faded so fast. This one's still looking good after a few washes! It's also more concentrated than some dyes, so one bottle will go further than you might expect.Read full review

Not worth the money

The product only stained my hair, washed out to pink, the colour didn't even really come through and washed out within 2 washes, would not reccormend.
