The kettle can be used as a normal kettle which boils rapidly but I bought this because of the infuser which you can use for loose leaf and herbal teas . You can adjust the temperature and steeping time and it beeps three times when ready and you then remove the infuser basket and you can keep your drink warm .
The larger more expensive model will raise and lower the infuser but on this one you have to do it yourself but it’s not a problem . A really good addition to your kitchen .
