This and the impact driver are a better love story than twilight
Great little tool, especially with the impact driver.
I've used a fair amount of drills, old battery powered drills that were nice on paper, but didn't match up in reality. Electric drills, but the power cords and weather stopped me doing some stuff. Many years ago I purchased a battery drill many years ago, perfect for light stuff, but one you got to concrete and thick woods it nearly burnt out in my hand. Roll onto 2019 and I made the leap to a Ryobi impact driver and a 5.0ah 18V battery with a 3rd party charger. Not gonna lie it set me back over £100, but I had a prime now voucher and dropped the battery by and sale was on. So that started me on the green brick road to battery powered tools.
I watched a few reviews and the 5.0ah battery was the way to go and got more power out of the tools for longer. As the lower powered batteries made the tool crawl and you never got that extra oomph for deep jobs, like a long screw in a wooden sleepers. Use a lower powered battery and it would stop halfway or three quarters.
So far it works perfectly. Done some drilling putting up battery camera up in concrete, with solar panels. Drills nicely and getting used to the features.Read full review

Adding this to my Bosch that I’ve had for over 10 years so I don’t have to keep swapping bits / drills constantly. This is smaller and feels better built, if slightly heavier. This has hammer action which will be handy for small jobs in my house that has brick internal walls - will save getting my big wired SDS out. Read full review

This is a great cordless drill, part of the One+ range so you can use the same battery.

Drill driver
Have a dewalt drill driver/hammer drill for work, thought it was just a drill driver I was buying to replace a driver that had burnt out after 4 plus years use, the hammer and drill use are as good as the dewalt, and now no longer have to get my corded SDS drill out unless it's a real heavy duty job, can only see how long it lasts if I get a few years out of it will be happy as half the price of a dewalt Read full review
