Coverers better with a small roller two coats.

The paint certainly cheered up an old wardrobe I had, even covered scratches and dents, it was easy to apply but would recommend a cover all around where painting as it does tend to drip. Two coats preferable as just this little tin will only cover one wardrobe. Would recommend this Ronseal product to everyoneRead full review

Does most of what it says on the tin - eventually.

TOOK 4 TO 5 COATS. 1ST COAT TOOK OVER 2 DAYS TO DRY. EVEN WITH QUALITY BRUSHES, A GOOD FINISH WAS DIFFICULT TO ACHIEVE. EVENTUALLY ACHIEVED A SATISFACTORY RESULT BUT WHAT AN EFFORT!

Not one coat at all!

Not sure why they call it one coat as I needed 3 coats to cover the doors properly, I think it would have been just as easy getting a mdf primer and then a satin wood paint, This stuff is pretty sticky and smells, not easy to brush on either, I needed 2 tins for a smallish kitchen, takes days to dry properly Read full review

Cupboard paint dissapointment

I bought this paint to paint my wardrobes, It was terrible to apply, It seemed to be drying whilst applying & when it did dry if you caught it with your finger nail it just peeled. It was also supposed to be one coat & there was no chance that one coat would cover. I feel i totally wasted my money as well as my time & would not recommend.Read full review

Ronseal - does NOT do what it says on the tin.

Used on plywood (which it says it's suitable for). Touch dry in 1h - no, tacky still after 30hrs+. One coat - not a chance needed 2 or 3. Good finish - no very prone to dripping, so found it impossible not to get a lumpy finish
It's now going to need sanding down amd painting again in another product.

It does the job

I used it on dark melamine wardrobes so needed 2 coats but didn't need to do any prep. I did find the paint quite difficult to work with though, not sure if using a roller would have been better.

Just Perfect 👍

Great paint.Easy to use and brought the cupboards a clean bright finish. My cupboards are over twenty years old and thought about buying a new kitchen.
However,I do not need to change the cupboard units as they now look and feel like new.
I will buy this Ronseal paint again to do other units in my Bathroom.
This paint has saved me a small fortune.

I am not a DIY person but it is east to apply with a roller and brush.
Just Perfect 👍

Not as expected

It has a glossy finish and needed up to three coats to cover even on top of a primer
It took 38 hours to become touch dry
I used this on beige caravan cupboards

It didn't do what it said on the tin

It is very thick and goes on the same making it difficult to get a good finish.I have tried other brands and all seem to be the same. I have reverted back to sanding, priming, there is no short cut to a good finish.Read full review
