AMazing sound from a little package!

I've read tons of reviews on this thing, Almost all good. I will start with the bad. The install...... first if you have a factory amp running your speakers do not use the high level input. what you will get is overwhelming bass at very low volume levels on your deck. i highly suggest using the low level RCA feature. next the auto turn on feature. sounds like a good idea not having to run a remote wire. however It would seem it has been programmed to gain ones trust before crushing your spirit. It worked great for about a week then decided to suck the soul out of my battery one night. and the last disappointing thing is the size. yes its very compact, however its pretty wide, obviously its a 10 inch but it wouldn't fit under any seat in my ford explorer, Chevy blazer, or my Chrysler pacifica. its just a bit too wide for the seats mounting brackets. That being said lemme tell ya about this thing. Holy Sh*t this thing sounds amazing. it has amazing bass for such a small size. out in the open in an SUV it has just the right amount of bass to comfortable chill on the way to work. its not enough to shake any bolts loose but does make your mirrors a little blurry from time to time. The best part is that it doesn't draw a lot of power. without having a capacitor i can still crank this thing at night with the headlights, heat blower, and delay wipers running without any lights dimming when i stop at a light. If you are looking for some bass without wanting to sacrifice your cargo space to the gods of plywood this is 100% worth the money and time to install it. just be sure you know what you are doing. after messing with the high level input and auto turn on crap for a few days i found running the RCA and remote wire would have saved me a ton of time and aggravation. dont look to install it in a few mins. Disappointing

I purchased this Rockville 10" enclosed sub after reading a few good reviews. After I installed it I am very disappointed that it puts out about as much base as my 6.5" component speakers do. I have had 8" bazooka tubes before and loved them, I was hoping this sub would be more like that but it really doesn't add much to my sound system. I'll be pulling it back out to get a bazooka tube like I should have in the first place. I would not recommend this product to anyone.Read full review

5 stars all the way! This unit really rocks!

Purchased this unit for use in my son's 1985 Toyota MR2. Was a little too tall to fit under the driver's seat where the factory 4" Sub box was located. However, the unit was slim enough to fit behind the seat against the rear of the car.
I will admit that I was skeptical that this unit would sound as great as it did based on the speaker being shallow, and the inexpensive price. I was blow away at how great it sounded! Granted the interior of the MR2 is small, but this speaker filled the space with amazing bass. It took the anemic sound from the factory dash speakers and added the rich low end that the system needed to sound perfect.
This system sounds and works every bit as well as the full size amp and 10" sub that I have in the trunk of my classic car. Best part is that it is in a much smaller package. Definitely a 5 star product. Read full review

Wow!

I was skeptical since it's so small and affordable. It fills my crew cab pickup with tons of base. Install was easy and took me about 1.5 hours. I'm stunned how much power it has. I put it under the back seat and set it at a lower bass setting. Time will tell how the longevity will be. Pretty heavy unit for the size. No regrets so far.Read full review

Really surprising.

I got this for my daughter's car as I didn't want a super-bass system for her. I'm more sound quality driven. This went in the back of a Honda Fit just expecting to add a little more to the lows than the 6.5" speakers could. The installation was easy (I ordered mine with the manufacturer wiring kit), and it powers right up.

I was surprised and quite pleased with the addition of bass for its compact size. It really should fit under the seat of most cars.

Don't expect to break windows with it, and you'll be impressed. For a bass adder, it is a good value in my opinion.Read full review

My FIRST EVER 10" sub AND first powered enclosure and LOVE IT!!!

This is the FIRST 10" subwoofer I have EVER owned, and I've been into car audio since the late 70's! I normally go for 12's, but after comparing specs on several of Rockville's powered subs, I was in shock to find out their 12" powered sub boxes had higher frequency response than this little 10" did! It's TRUE! I was going to purchase their RWS12CA powered 12" sub until I saw the frequency response was only 38Hz-500Hz on a 1200-watt sub enclosure, while the frequency response of THIS little 10" is 20Hz - 150Hz, a MUCH BETTER spec for subwoofer frequencies to be FELT instead of just HEARD! Heck, my 6x9's and even my 6.5" door speakers get lower lows than the Rockville RWS12CA does, which led me to chose the RW10CA. I was VERY impressed by the construction of this unit, and yes, it IS thin! Not exactly thin enough to mount under my seat as they claim, but thin enough to easily mount on the rear seat back and not get in the way of anything in my trunk. I do home repairs for a living and I carry a lot of tools and tool boxes in my trunk, and since it's only a 4-door Saturn Ion, I need as much room as I can get. So, when I was building my current system, I opted for my very FIRST not only 10" sub, but FIRST ever powered sub enclosure! I've always ran an amp to my subs, and always had two, never just one. Since I was buying an amp that was around the same size as this enclosure, I had to make sure to find something that would fit where I needed it. And since my 7-band equalizer is a Rockville and I've been quite happy with it, I figured I would try this RW10CA sub. WOW!!! It does just what they claim it will do! At low volume, it pounds so hard I have to turn the bass knob down on the equalizer or just turn up the stereo. I wasn't looking for enough bass to rattle windows and wake up neighbors, but just enough to make the bass in reggae sound great, and THIS little enclosure does everything I want it to and more! It doesn't vibrate my mirrors, which is nice, but people can definitely hear the bass when I'm coming down the road. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS! It's super easy to install almost anywhere in your car, especially on the rear seat back! I like how I only have to fold my seat down to make any adjustments to the sub rather than have to crawl inside my trunk!Read full review

Pounding Bass

This is my first Subwoofer ever purchased and yes! it took a week to decide. RW10"CA Hyundai Accent SE

I was able to get this unit under the seat of my 2012 Accent versus sticking it in the hatch and taking up some neede room. I am glad I did, since the sound eminating under my seat is awesome at low level without distartion (it's a small vehicle). The only thing I neede was a LOC (line out converter) which was not big deal, all the rest of the wiring was included.
